Monster BMX Games

Interviews

Interview with Cam White

How long have you been doing BMX?
Ever since i was a kid, but i started digging dirt jumps and jumping stuff when i was about 12

How/why did you get into it?
Well I grew up on a property in Wamboin, there wasn't a lot to do out here and i always loved riding my bike, so I started digging jumps.

Who are your sponsors?
Mongoose Bikes, Unit Clothing, Lavs Lab, Vans Shoes

Who/what are your inspirations?
All the guys I ride with and all the guys I look up to in the sport.

You’ve had some amazing successes, how do you feel about your achievements?
I feel great, I worked really really hard to try and have the season that i just had in 2008, so to work for
something and have it pay off in the end is a great feeling! its far from easy, but now that its said
and done, time to set a new bunch of goals and try and achieve them.

You won the BMX games last year – what was it like to win?
Winning any contest is a great feeling.  its hard to describe, but you do go home stoked and that’s all that matters.

Are you looking forward to this year’s BMX games?
yeah, I’m always excited for the bmx games, its a fun comp and its great to catch up with all the boys!

What makes the BMX Games such a good event?
The fact that its all bmx (no sake boarding etc) is cool, its a strictly bmx only event and has every discipline in our sport. everyone travels from all
over to compete and have a good time.

Is it good for the sport?
I think its great for the sport. bmx as a sport is growing and its good to show people what its all about, and having our own event like that is a great way to do it.
